Activate your Windows with SLMGR

If you get an activation error message 0xc004f063 when you try to activate your PRO key immediately after sending it, the problem is most likely due to the BIOS still using the Windows startup key. This often happens if you pre-activated a pre-activated computer and then reset it.

In this case, your operating system tries to activate the operating system using the key stored in the BIOS, regardless of which activation key you want to apply. You can replace the wrong activation key by running a series of commands from the command line.

Step 1: Type cmd in the search box, right-click Command Prompt, then click Run as administrator.

Step 2: Run the following commands (replace the Windows key with your license key) to replace the used license key with the correct one:

slmgr / ipk
slmgr / ato

Once the process is complete, restart your computer and check if the 0xc004f063 activation error persists. If your Windows build still does not activate, try the method below.

Perform SFC and DISM checks

What is sfc-scannow

To fix Windows activation error 0xc004f063, run the built-in Windows system scanners called System File Check (SFC) and Deployment Image Maintenance and Management (DISM). Both can fix sometimes minor local problems, even though they cause such problems.

  • Press Windows + R and type cmd in Run.
  • Right-click the command line and select “Run as administrator”.
  • In the “User Account Control” window that pops up, click “Yes.”
  • When you open the command prompt, type the following commands. Press Enter after each one.
  • Dism.exe / online / clean-up-image / scanhealth
  • Dism.exe / online / clean-up-image / restorehealth

The process can take place. Therefore, do not close the command line. These commands are responsible for checking your computer’s health and then loading serviceable files to restore damaged files. Once the process is complete, open the command line again as described above and enter the following commands. Press Enter to run it.

sfc / scannow.

Finally, restart the system.

Recreate the Windows license store.

You can restore the corrupted Windows activation file and see if it helps you fix this error. Try this:

1] Open a command prompt with administrator privileges.

2] Type the following set of individual commands and press Enter for each:

  • clean stop sppsvc
  • cd% windir% ServiceProfilesLocalServiceAppDataLocalMicrosoftWSLicense
  • ren tokens.dat tokens.bar
  • Clean start of sppsvc
  • exe% windir% system32slmgr.vbs / rilc

Now exit the command line window and see if the error persists.
