Launch Outlook as an administrator

  1. Simply click the “Start” button on your computer and find “Outlook.exe”.
  2. Now right-click on it and select “Run as administrator” from the menu.

Disabling Outlook add-ons in safe mode

  1. Before you start, make sure that Outlook windows are closed.
  2. Then press the Windows and R keys simultaneously to open the Run dialog box.
  3. When the Run dialog box appears, type “Outlook.exe/safe” and press Enter.

  2. Then type “control mlcfg32.cpl” and press Enter.
  3. Click “View Profiles” and then the “Add” button to create a new profile.
  4. You can now give your profile a name.
  5. On the next screen, enter your email credentials in the automatic “Email Account” field.
  6. When you’re finished making your settings, simply click on the “Always use this profile” option.

Resetting the navigation bar

  1. First, close Outlook completely. Then press the window key along with the R key.
