Fixing Signed Out of Everything on Shutdown

You can still log out if your system browser is not properly configured. Also, old system tasks stuck in the Task Scheduler can cause the described error.

The user experiences the problem when restarting or cold restarting their system. However, on startup the user exits any (or some) applications (Skype, Zoom, etc.) Or websites (Gmail, YouTube, Hotmail, etc.). in their browsers.

Enable cookies

  • Open Google Chrome. Then click the three vertical dots button, then click Settings.
  • Now click on Privacy and Security. Then select cookies and other site data.
  • Remember to check Allow all cookies and clear cookies and site data when you close Chrome.
  • Now restart Chrome.

Use PowerShell and the Task Scheduler

  1. right-click Start.
  2. open Windows Powershell (administrator).
  3. Copy and paste the following script:

  1. Write down the names of the applications/tasks (in my case, the displayed application was “HPCustParticipation HP DeskJet 2130 series”) that you get as output.
  2. Open the job scheduler from the Start menu.
  3. Find the task (for example, HPCustParticipation HP DeskJet 2130 series).
  4. click on it. Then click Edit.
  5. Disable the Do not save password option. When prompted, enter your password.
  6. Reboot the system.

Reset Chrome

  • Launch Chrome on your PC.
  • You’ll see three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen.
  • In the drop-down menu, click Settings.
  • Go to settings. Below is the “Advanced” option.
  • Now go to the “Reset and Clear” segment.
  • Select this option to restore the original default settings.
  • Then click the “Reset Settings” button in the pop-up window.

Change your system connection settings

Your system may quit apps and websites if your login settings aren’t set up correctly. Because of this, properly configuring your system’s connection settings can solve the problem.

  • Launch the Window menu (by pressing the Windows logo key) and select the Settings / Hardware icon.
  • Now open “Accounts” and select “Login Settings” in the left pane of the window.
  • Then in the right pane of the window, expand the Required Logon drop-down list and select Never.
  • Now turn on the Restart Applications option and turn on both options under Privacy.
  • Then restart your computer and after the restart, check to see if the system has reset the disconnect error.
  • If not, check to see if disabling the PIN login option solves the problem.
  • If not, start the Windows menu (by pressing the Windows button) and look for Control Panel. Then select Control Panel from the search results.
  • Now open the user accounts and click Credential Manager.
  • Then expand the credentials one by one and click “Delete” (on both tabs, i.e. web credentials and web credentials), be it Windows, certificate-based, shared credentials or web passwords.
  • Now restart the computer and when you restart, make sure that the computer is working properly.
  • If not, open the Run command window (by pressing the Windows + R keys at the same time) and do the following:
  • % Program Data%.
  • Now open the Microsoft folder and delete the Vault folder (the folder will be recreated on the next system boot).
  • Then reboot your computer and after the reboot check if the disconnection problem is solved.
