Check and enable NAT

Enabling NAT (Network Address Translation) is one of the most important parts for players when a NAT type problem occurs. In this case, the game servers cannot be connected when you play games on your PC/Xbox/PS4 console. So you can check your NAT type below.

Windows:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard to open the Start menu. You can also press the Start button.
  2. Now type in Xbox Networking and press Enter.
  3. Here you can see if the NAT Type is closed or enabled.
  4. If you see that NAT Type shows `Teredo cannot provide quality`, it means that it is closed.
  5. So just click the “Fix” button below and the system should fix the problem.

Xbox:

  1. Press the Xbox button on the controller -> Open the Guide menu.
  2. Select System -> Select Settings -> Go to Network.
  3. Select Network Settings -> Go to Current Network Status.
  4. Check the NAT type to see if it says Open or Closed.
  5. If it is Closed, try fixing it using the option below.

PS4:

  1. In the PS4 main menu, go to Settings.
  2. Go to Network -> Go to View Connection Status.
  3. If you are getting NAT TYPE 2/3, you need to check your router or contact your ISP to enable it.

Enable UPnP to open the NAT

If you find that your NAT is closed or restricted for some reason, and that’s why you get the Bamberga error message in Infinite Warfare when you try to connect to the network, this step will be very helpful. You can enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) in your router settings.

Use a Static IP

Using a static IP address can easily get your console to run the game properly. But first, you need to check the static IP address from your computer.

  1. Turn on your Windows computer/laptop.
  2. Click Start -> Type cmd and right-click on the command line.
  3. Select Run as administrator.
  4. Now type IP config at the command prompt and press Enter.
  5. This will give you the IPV4 address. Make a note of the address.
  6. (PS4) Go to PS4 Settings -> Select Network -> Go to View Connection Status.
  7. (Xbox) Go to Xbox Settings -> Select All Settings -> Network -> Network Settings.
  8. Enter the copied IPV4 address under IP Address.
  9. Save the changes and restart the console.
