This page documents our measurement of the size of objects served through the NLANR caches.
Every day, we create histograms of the object sizes. The fifth column in Squid's access.log is the number of bytes written to the client socket. We use this script to generate a log-based histogram. The raw data looks like this, and a graph for each day like this.
Below we plot the median object size values for the NLANR caches for each day.
